Taken By Storm Photography

Posted on August 19, 2010

In the very near future I’ll be launching Taken by Storm Photography, which will be my parent photography company, mainly focused on portrait photography, larger scale events (weddings, mitzvahs, spiritual ceremonies, et cetera) and headshot photography.

Right now I am offering a special on headshot photography. Take advantage now while I use and abuse your faces to build on my portfolio. For $100 you will get three looks and all usable images. That’s a great deal on headshots folks, take advantage of it while the offer still stands!

Pearl Is Here For Six Sleeps

Posted on May 23, 2010

We are currently having a wonderful visit with our friends’ dog Pearl.  She weighs about as much as a wet sock, but her presence is far more palpable. Here are some adorable shots I got of Pearl and E while J and his dinosaurs rescued sharks in the bathtub.

My new toy… er, I mean camera

Posted on March 27, 2010

I am just about as pleased as punch! I stalked the UPS website today, tracking my delivery of my Canon 7D, when at 3:30 as I lay snuggled with my kids in bed, watching Ponyo for the first time, I see that glorious brown truck pull up in front of the house.  I leapt out of bed as if Santa himself was ready to knock on my door and actually met the UPS guy in the middle of the lawn.  I didn’t even let him get to the porch.

Giving the camera the bare minimum charging time of the battery, I took it with me to the twins’ first hip hop class.  Here are some of my prize shots, no retouching – raw from the camera.  Enjoy!

The Many Faces of E

Posted on March 17, 2010

I got this amazing shot of my E before her dad took her and her brother to Hawaii for a week.  I was very shutter happy while I took as many pictures as I could before they were going to be away from me for the longest time in their life.  With her freckles and unique eyes, it’s always wonderful when she looks straight into my lens.  So I had some fun playing with this shot today while missing her and her brother so much my heart aches.

A face to love…
